Crucial idea of this project lies in creating a welcoming and understandable campus with living central space – the main square interconnects creative process with public life, existing building with new objects and isolated institution with surrounding city. Rational structure of the new campus respects the existing building and emphasizes openness, quality of public space and urban independence of the development stages. The crucial aspects are livability and permeability of the environment, meaningful use of greenery and hierarchy of „privacy“ of the public spaces. Informal exterior gallery of students´ works connects tha campus and the city. Rational and generous proposed objects form a sober frame for art, which does not compete with creativity of the students. New buildings form together a compact architectural and urban complex. Their form and position in the campus follow their function. The existing building becomes a part of a logical structure, which makes use from the advantages from the extraordinary site and confirms the main space principles and scale of this significant solitaire.
